While we were in Ireland for two and a half weeks, Patrick’s mean parents made him do some school work. He wrote stories and drew pictures about our trip adventures. Below each picture I have written (with spelling errors corrected) what Patrick wrote, plus some photos of the actual events to accompany Patrick’s artwork.
“One day I went to the Giant’s Causeway. I had fun.” And here we are at the Giant’s Causeway!
“One day I played with a toy. We needed a ladder to get it off the roof.” Here’s the slingshot dart and the roof it ended up on when one of the boys’ uncles launched it and then recovered it.
“One day I went to the Cliffs of Moher. I had fun!” In his drawing, Patrick wanted to be sure to include O’Brien Tower.
“One day I went on a boat to the Cliffs of Moher. The blue thing in the back is the Cliffs of Moher. We saw a jellyfish.”
“One day I rode bikes. I had fun in the rain in the Aran Islands.” We sure did get wet in the rain that day!
“I went on a hawk walk. Hawks landed on arms.” The boys were amazed by the well-trained hawks.
This was a great trip! And Patrick’s teacher and classmates enjoyed Patrick’s stories about our vacation.
