School Celebration

In the month of May, Paraguayans celebrate Mother’s Day and the independence of their nation.  Last week at school, the boys participated in a special show in honor of the two holidays.

When we arrived at the school, the teachers handed us programs listing the songs the boys would be singing.  Most songs and poems were in Spanish (including the Paraguayan national anthem and a song called “I’m a Little Paraguayan”), and two were in English.

The boys did a great job singing their songs with their classmates.

They did cute hand signals.

For the finale, the boys and their little friends each held two paper hearts and sang about their love for their moms.  It was darling!

Next the boys gave me beautiful handprints they had made.  They were very excited about their artwork.

The boys enjoyed some playtime before we headed back home.

It was a great day!
