Carving Squash

Since Paraguay doesn’t have pumpkins, this year (much like last year) we went with next best thing: carving squash. We had to visit three grocery stores before we found whole squash large enough to carve. We bought four and this weekend we carved them up.

After Scout’s owner Mike told Patrick that it would be funny to carve the squash to look like it’s vomiting, Patrick became obsessed with the idea of creating this. So Scout and Mike came over to help us carve the squash.

Patrick helped Mike scoop out the insides of the squash.

They saved the insides to be used as the barf.

Patrick was thrilled with how it turned out. Scout was curious about it too.

Meanwhile, Danny and I worked to make a Frankenstein squash.
