Pumpkin Carving

Well, we couldn’t exactly find pumpkins here in Paraguay. So, this year we are carving squash. We found two green, large and sort of ugly squashes at the grocery store.

Last night we carved them. Patrick was very interested. Despite his eager pleas, we did not let him use a knife. We did let him pick shapes for the eyes and noses and the number of teeth.

Patrick liked looking inside the squashes, and for some reason he wanted to wear three Halloween baby bibs.

Danny was a little suspicious of the carved squash, but he loved the plastic pumpkin for trick-or-treating!

Our squashes turned out pretty well!
